What Carpool does
Carpool matches drivers who have spare seats with passengers travelling the same route. Rides, bookings and messages on the site are real, but the arrangement to travel together is between the driver and the passengers.
Carpool is not a transport provider
We do not drive, we do not own the vehicles, and we are not a party to the arrangement between a driver and a passenger. The driver is responsible for the vehicle, its licence, registration, and insurance.
Shared costs only
The contribution is a share of the actual cost of the trip, paid directly to the driver. Carpool does not collect it and charges no fee. Using the platform to run a commercial transport service is not allowed.
No guarantees
No safety, arrival time, vehicle quality, or conduct of any participant is guaranteed. We do not verify identities, licences, registration, or insurance, and we provide no insurance of our own.
Changes
These draft terms will be replaced with reviewed ones, and we will state the date they were last changed.
