Carpool from Manila to Baguio City
Manila–Baguio is one of the most common long-distance carpool routes in Luzon, especially on long weekends and in the cool months.

What to know about this route
Earlier is emptier
Leaving before 5:00 AM or around midnight is usually much faster than leaving on a Friday afternoon. Agree the departure time early, because it changes the length of the trip more than anything else.
Ask which climb the driver will take
Marcos Highway is the usual way up. Kennon Road is sometimes closed after landslides or bad weather. Ask the driver which route they plan to take, especially if anyone in the car gets carsick on steep climbs.
Bring something warm
Baguio is noticeably colder than Metro Manila, especially at night and from December to February. A light jacket makes a big difference at the end of the trip.
Agree on stops along the way
A break at a service area on NLEX or TPLEX is normal. If you need more frequent stops, say so before leaving so it does not become a scheduling problem on the road.
