Traffic is the biggest factor
On a quiet Tuesday morning it can be under two hours. On a Saturday afternoon it can double. Do not count on an exact arrival time.
Be clear about the drop-off point
Tagaytay is spread out along a long ridge. The Rotonda, Sky Ranch, and the spots near the Taal viewpoint are far apart. Agree on a specific drop-off before you leave.
Day trip, light luggage
Most trips are day trips, so luggage is usually small. If you are bringing something large, tell the driver, because some cars have a small boot.
