Olongapo, the Freeport, or further up the coast?
Olongapo City, the Subic Bay Freeport and the Zambales towns further north — San Antonio, San Narciso, Iba — are all different drop-offs, some an hour or more apart. Agree the exact one before booking.
Commuter or weekend rider?
Weekday rides tend to leave early and repeat on the same days. Weekend rides fill on Friday evening going up and Sunday afternoon coming back. If your schedule is regular, ask the driver whether they make the trip every week.
The slow part is getting out of Manila
Once on SCTEX the road is usually quick. Most of the variation is at the NLEX end, so a pickup near Balintawak or further north can save a lot of time.
